LHC Public Works will be starting a City Core Paving and Water Main Reconstruction Project on Monday (April 22). This project will continue through October 22, 2024. Traffic Control devices and slowed construction zones are in place for the duration of the project at various times within the downtown area, to provide safe routes for motorists and contractors and allow for access to all businesses.During this timeframe, work is conducted on the following streets within the downtown area: McCulloch Blvd; from the London Bridge to Smoketree Ave. Swanson Ave; from SR95 to Smoketree Ave. Rivera Ave; from Swanson Ave. to Palo Verde Blvd. S.The City appreciates everyone’s patience and cooperation as we work safely to complete this important project timely! Motorists traveling in the area can expect temporary delays due to construction, and are asked to drive carefully through work zones and follow all traffic control signage.

The Lake Havasu City Police Department held their annual Torch Run for Special Olympics on Saturday April 6th. The Law Enforcement Torch Run is a campaign to raise awareness and support for the Special Olympics and is participated in by law enforcement professionals from around the world. This year's Lake Havasu City leg of the relay was run by Officers from the LHCPD as well as deputies and volunteers from the Mohave County and San Bernardino County Sheriff's offices. Additionally, many of our local Special Olympians came to run with the officers and deputies.
