Unpretentious option offering relaxed rooms, plus a dive center, a marina & a private beach.

It was a good place to stay, great value, and no issues during our time there. The times for the meals were met, the food was good, the room was excellent with access directly to the beach, the people who assisted us were nice, and the location was great. Hoping to return!

The room I got was 107, really close to the ocean and the lobby. We had a front porch and just beautiful scenery day in and day out. The staff is more than accessible and friendly and you can always see a manager close by. Some of the desserts are heavenly so you get your money's worth. The food is good but the liquor well, it should be a being your own type of thing. The negative: no hot water for the first day and this was my birthday so it really made my day sticky and uncomfortable. The liquor, it doesn't matter what you ask for tastes like moonshine with juice. The menu is just beef, chicken, pork, and fish fillet which is great don't get me wrong, but, the fish is under cooked, the beef is not even close to being tender, the pork is salty and the chicken, well.... that they did great.Wifi sucks all over the hotel so don't come in thinking you'll do business calls (believe me I tried), the snacks could use more love from the kitchen. Pizza could choke you, the hotdogs are made in sweet bread... just wrong. I suggest the burgers, the ham and cheese, and the fries. All else, well, it could be better.

The hotel is dated but the staff is great, the beach is nice and the water so beautiful blue. Judy welcomed me as if I were the only person on the property. She was a wonderful hostess and if I come back it will be because the way the front desk staff treated me. The staff in the restaurant were very attentive to all having breakfast but in that moment they were with you, you were their priority. The pools are nice, it wasn’t very crowded when I stayed. I had an ocean view room and was greeted by a beautiful sunrise. The resort is rustic the bed not too comfortable but all in all it was a good stay.

My family and I recently stayed at Fantasy Island, and while the island itself is stunning with beautiful beaches and great snorkeling and scuba diving opportunities, our experience at the resort was disappointing. The customer service was lacking, not meeting the standard we expected. The water was consistently cold, and we never had a hot shower during our stay. There were no phones in the rooms to contact the lobby, and the internet signal was weak and only available in the lobby. The food was average, and we were surprised by the lack of sanitation measures. Instead of bottled water, there was a pitcher in the fridge for drinking water. We didn't feel comfortable leaving money or our passports in the room, although there was a safe available. The TV in most rooms was small, around 14 inches, but the beds were comfortable and spacious. Despite these issues, the island's natural beauty and the abundance of fish and coral reefs made our snorkeling experience memorable.Overall, while we loved the island itself, we were disappointed by the resort and would not choose to stay there again.

Very poor food, cold food no choices. Very poorly run resort, rooms are in bad shape, from no water to scorching hot. Toilet not working most of thee times. No TV in room working. Lack of drink choices. Most staff was nice and tried to help. Administration staff blatantly said they didn't care about your room troubles. Beach area was nice but needs cleaning up alot of garbage.

I was very excited with all the perks and amenities included in the hotel but I was very disappointed. In social media they post their co*cktails all beautiful and delicious but in reality they are very bad and they serve them in Pepsi plastic cups. Their bartender staff is not even trained. The food was alright but you expect more seafood from a resort in the Caribbean. The rooms while okay they are not being taken care properly and some windows or doors are broken like the one going to the balcony. The beaches are beautiful and the pool is nice.Overall the experience was very underwhelming and I won't visit again nor recommend this place.

This is our second visit, and this time I saw many changes in their facilities.I'm glad to see they remodeled the lobby and various areas; it looks much more modern. The food, as always, is a 10/10.

AIRTRONIC SKYR — Google review

Don't expect much here. The rooms are marginal at best. Brush up on your Spanish before you go, you can get by but just barely. There is no wifi in the rooms. The whole place 9s dates and is in need of a serious remodel. I didn't swim nor use any of the beaches but they both seemed nice I guess. The food was just ok and the bar is open 11am to 10pm and is all you can drink.

The worst decision, this resort was a nightmare. I’m not sure where to even start. The food is nasty, rice is undercooked at its finest. The rooms dirty, they won’t come and clean your room throughout your stay either. The second day out of my 3 day stay they lost power so my fiancé and I were without phones for 4-6 hours. We decided to leave the resort & drive around the island as it was dark and nothing to do durning this time. Came back around 11pm, went to the bathroom and there was a HUGE co*ckroach by the toilet . When we went to complain about it. The only offer they gave us was to exchange rooms to another dirty room where I developed a huge rash on the side of my leg before leaving. I didn’t even want to stay there another night. I do not recommend this place to anyone. Unless you just pay for the day pass that they offer. Over priced for no reason.

The beach itself is beautiful, a nice view and it's clean. But the hotel is just not good. Expect the cheap of the cheapest food ever. They use left over food for the next DAYS until there's no more of it left. Deserts are always horrible, the bread is so dry.Drinks are not good, they all taste the same, they put the minimum effort in preparing them and barely put any alcohol on them, they're mainly juice. The bedrooms are dirty, the bathroom in my room was broken, leaking water and it stinks. They sent someone to fix it temporarily but the bad odor was still there.Customer service is bad as well. For the price they charge for this place, it's not worth it at all. I don't recommend it at all. Never going back.

LESS THAN 1 STAR. ⅛ MORELIKE IT!Very bad experience at this hotel. This hotel is a hotel with very old facilities that urgently need remodeling. Terrible service from most of the staff compared to the staff on the Turquoise Bay Hotel and Pineapple Clarion. ( I have stayed in both hotels on previous trips). The quality of the food could be compared to something you buy in cheap cafeteria in Hialeah, FL. Very poor quality for the price one pays per stay, very important there were no diet sodas only homemade juices loaded with sugar enough to cause a diabetic coma. The hotel doesn't have laundry service; there was no water on the morning we left, and we could not take a shower before checking out.Overall, my suggestion is to pay a little more and get your money's worth and a better experience than I did. Lesson learned.

Went to have a look and was so impressed by the grounds that I went back a few days later and got a day pass. $50 for 10:00 - 6:00 but you can pay $75 and stay longer. The day pass includes access to all the resort amenities, including lunch and a bar, kayaking, snorkeling, mini golf, etc. This is the oldest resort on the island and it is gorgeous. I didn't see the rooms but there are renovations underway. We had a glorious day. Gorgeous beaches and bays, pristine grounds, nice dive shop, friendly staff. Its easy to find, easy to get to, no trouble parking. The only thing I think could be improved is the food. It wasn't awful. It wasn't great, but we got a GREAT deal for $50 and I wasnt expecting a 5 star restaurant at that price anyway. I'd like to do a little staycation there sometime to check out the rooms and service and what it's like at night. I HIGHLY recommend checking out Fantasy Islans. We had such a good time and I am excited to go back. I can see this becoming a regular activity for m ed.

This was once a beautiful resort. Spent 4 nights 8/16-8/19/2023. Place is rundown, rooms are in dire need of renovations, towels are threads, no hair dryers in the rooms, entry doors are always stuck, sliding doors don’t slide, all inclusive is a joke! Drinks are as generic as can be, staff does not wear gloves nor hair nets, you cannot take a plate of food to the room if someone gets sick. If you get sick, there is no one onsite or any way of getting your basic aspirin or OTC stuff. The owner racks in the profits, but does not spend on maintaining property for the safety & comfort of guests. The only plus to this property is the beach. The staff try to do their best, but are helpless since owner does nothing to keep this property up. Wish I had taken pics of all the defaults this place has. Fantasy Island is more like NIGHTMARE ISLAND! What a shame. 😡

I only leave reviews if I had an extraordinary experience or if I had a terrible experience. In this case it was terrible. The ONLY good thing about this place is the beach. It is absolutely beautiful. The entertainment (karaoke nights) was good too gotta give it to the guys. The worst of the worst was the food. Undercooked rice, overcooked meat etc etc. They leave the silverware out on the tables and the flies stand on them. I also saw flies on the food. Don’t be surprise if you end up with diarrhea. Beach towels are old, ripped and stained. The negative reviews are all real, it is exactly how they describe it. I don’t understand how some people say the “food is fresh and delicious”. I don’t understand how this is called “all inclusive” and why they are charging the prices they are charging. Not worth it for the price you’re paying. I do not recommend it.

As many others mentioned, we didn’t stay in the hotel. We visited for the day as an excursion on our latest cruise in March. This was the highlight of our whole trip! The beach location was absolutely dreamy! My son and I chose to do a guided snorkel and all supplies were provided. There was an abundance of fish and coral to see. The water was perfectly clear/turquoise. Other than the snorkeling, we had a good time just sitting/swimming in the water while my husband napped on a lounger in the shade of the palm trees. They also had kayaks and plenty of loungers and shaded areas. We even saw a monkey. It was all inclusive, and the pina coladas were so tasty. The buffet style lunch was good and there were plenty of choices for everyone. The banana cake was awesome. Our guide and driver that got us from the port to the island and back were very nice and informative. I would absolutely recommend this as an excursion/day trip and would visit again myself.

The honest review, bottom line up front...its worth what we paid, nothing more. If you are looking for a fantastic beach, snorkeling or scuba diving, this place is where you need to be. If you also want clean, functional rooms, friendly, helpful staff, well maintained equipment and facilities, or hot food, ( not including the omlettes), then look elsewhere. Hint: bring your own beach towels, and bug spray, for your legs in the lobby. Keep your service/cleanliness expectations at home.

Me and my husband had a shock.I never ever saw place terrible lake this. Too old and out dated, odor is to strong. Room is look lake basem*nt.. smell from everything like towel, bathroom and etsSmell lake rusty iron..shower never working, strings go 360 degrees.I never saw buffet and bar like this. No any choice of food & drink. During blackout they didn’t even provide light. Everyone have to using cellphones for light. No any activity.nothing to do for entertainment.my swimming suit despaired by unknown means.but this place not to cheap.highly recommendNever going to this resort

Spent my 26th birthday here & it was terrible. I didn’t even get an acknowledgment of it being my birthday, the workers except 2 were rude & not helpful at all, never had towels (beach towels) included. Make sure to bring your own wash cloths to wash up because they don’t even offer those. Nothing is up to date the food is nothing like the food they advertise on their website it’s never hot unless you warm it up yourself or get an omelette. No service or wifi unless you’re in the lobby, where the mosquitoes will eat you alive. Tisha is the manager she’s amazing because she’s one person but tries take care of everyone. The beach area itself was the best thing on the resort. If you stay here i recommend you use it to rest & find things to do off the resort.

We just arrived home after an amazing 2 week vacation at Fantasy island in Roatan! Would we go back? Absolutely.the resort is set on an amazing piece of land; its own island. The beaches are stunning and the water is crystal clear and very warm. There are so many snorkeling opportunities right off the resort, my husband went snorkeling multiple times everyday! He saw things like stingray, octopus, blowfish, lion fish, cuddle fish, barracudas, needle fish, squid, and all sorts of other colorful fish, some very large ones as well! There were also a few boat wrecks. And an added bonus, I could watch him from shore! We never had to fight for a beach chair or pool chair and since they have 3 beaches the water was never crowded. It’s just perfect! The resort is on the older side. Its needs some work and love but they are tackling and working at it each day.Next I feel the staff need a huge mention and shout out. Boy they try hard to make your vacation the best possible. Judith- she’s a GEM and an incredible asset to Fantasy Island. She goes above and beyond consistently to ensure your happiness. The front staff worked hard to make sure things went smoothly and typically did so with a warm smile. Some didn’t speak English…. But that didn’t stop them from trying. They used their translator on their phone until they understood and then helped us. However- I witnessed some pretty rude guests which the staff don’t deserve to have to deal with. Start with kindness and you’ll see it goes a lot further! We never had any issue. The dining room staff and Henry (manager) really care about your experience. The food was very tasty and no one in our group ever complained. Yes sometimes they run out of things but they replenish as quickly as they can. Remember- Roatan is a small island. They sure do make the best of it at all times.I will say the white wine wasn’t to our liking- but we just bought a few bottles and we were fine.On to the bar- drinks were very good and as strong as you want them. Rhum and co*ke with a lime was our go to! Miss them already! But they had a big list of co*cktails. Beer - they served 3 different kinds (Local, Imperial, and moller light) and that was served to you in the can which was really nice. The bar closes at 10pm which makes it more of a relaxation resort and not a party resort, which is something I loved about it.Food was good! Fresh! Not a huge variety but we never left hungry.Rooms are spacious and nice. We stayed in 208- the perfect location. We found the animation team was lacking, although there weren’t many participants for their games which made their job more difficult. This is something I missed from past resorts. They didn’t seem to really connect with the guests like we’ve experienced in the past. Nothing major- but kinda disappointing. The animation team definitely needs some energy! We booked Howard from Howie’s Beach and Tour and boy oh boy he and his wife Dazza did not disappoint. I mean wow! He was always there for any questions we had. We booked him for excursions, for golf, for an island tour, a brewery tour and a grocery store stop to get my daughter a birthday cake. He went above and beyond each and every time. He’s fun, knowledgeable and just such a kind man! Our group loved him. He will customize any tour you want- make him the first person you reach out to and you won’t be disappointed- I promise.I’ll finish with this- I often shook my head and was annoyed with myself for worrying about all the bad reviews, once we arrived. Im Not sure what people expect for the price you pay and the country you decide to travel to. There was a family there at the same time that spent a few days in the West Roatán and were very happy to come back to our little piece of paradise. That says a lot for Fantasy island. If a quiet, peaceful, gorgeous view vacation with decent food and incredible snorkeling is what you’re after- Fantasy island will not disappoint. But if you go looking to be miserable and complain- you will be.Safe travels! Enjoy this hidden gem!

If you want to enjoy you vacations. Don’t come to this hotel. It will destroy your peace. Let me tell you how they ruined my vacations and my over 15 family members vacations the same time:-first, we had to wait 6 hours to received our rooms in a hot hot lobby( we were sweating along with around 25 people with the same problem)-second, once received our rooms. Pillows were stinky and we found women’s hair under blankets. My family also found dirty pillows and blanketsMOST IMPORTANT-THIRD AND MOST IMPORTANT. the first night, I was drinking with my cousins and I private security of the hotel pulled out a gun and loaded it to us. He was drunk and with drugs. We couldn’t sleep that night and the hotel did not find a solution the problem ( police neither) THIS MAN ALMOST KILL US IN FRONT OF EVERYONE FOR NO REASON. I have a video-fourth, they gave me a room with no ac remote. The room was freezing.
