Epic is the preferred electronic health record used by healthcare organizations across the nation. Why is St. Mary's changing its electronic health record system? We want to continue to make the healthcare experience easier for you, our patients. Our new electronic health record, Epic, will allow patients to view their records and test results from any Mount Carmel facility at any time, plus do things like pay bills, all in one easy-to-use patient portal. How do I sign up for MyChart? You can sign up for MyChart at any time by visiting the MyChart page. Trinity Health offers a self-service sign up for those who do not have an activation code. If the information entered matches the information we have in our system exactly as it appears, you will receive an email containing an access code. If it doesn’t match you can verify your information through a third-party vendor. I already have a MyChart account with another health care system, do I need to create a new one? If your MyChart account is with a different health care system, you will need to create a new account specific to our health system. MyChart is utilized by many health care providers and systems throughout the country. Fortunately, if you have an active patient portal account at another organization that uses MyChart, you will be able to link your accounts. How do I link all of my MyChart accounts? You can access all of your MyChart healthcare accounts from one place using a single username and password with MyChartCentral. MyChartCentral also provides you access to Lucy, a personal health record that gives you a permanent home to organize all your medical information. To link your accounts and get access to Lucy, please follow the instructions below. Log into your MyChart account Under Sharing in the menu on the left, click Link My Accounts Follow on-screen instructions How do I download my health information from myHealth patient portal? If you had a myHealth patient portal with our health system, some of your historical health information will be transferred over a period of time to your MyChart account and be visible to you. Your provider will have access to your entire record. Our new electronic health record, Epic, allows you to access information about the care you receive at any St. Mary's facility or Medical Group office in one patient portal called MyChart.

St. Mary's Health Care System is a member of Trinity Health, one of the nation’s largest Catholic health systems. Our new patient portal is integrated with other member hospitals and providers from across the country.

St. Mary's changed its electronic health record system in October 2022. MyChart may not have all historical visit information and test results available for visits that occurred before this date.  Our previous patient portals are still accessible but as read-only.

How do I sign up for MyChart?

MyChart provides an easy way to ask your doctor basic, non-urgent questions using secure electronic messaging. To message your provider please follow the steps below.

In MyChart:

  • Go to Menu > Communications > Messages
  • Select “Send A Message”
  • Identify your type of message (Medical Question or Customer Service Question)
  • Continue steps on-screen based on your message needs. Press "Send" when complete
