Honkai: Star Rail's Next PS5 Update May Be One of Its Most Important Yet (2024)

Really looking forward to this, what a fantastic game. Helps to have a maxed-out Acheron however, she absolutely nukes everything.

@Silenos haha yea I'm pretty sure everyone who unlocked her has been using her technique to blaze through SU so far.

Personally can't wait to leave Penacony other than a few highpoints, the storytelling has been abysmally long-winded and utter nonsense. Much preferred Belabog and the Xianzhou Luofu.

@Silenos 100% Acheron is completely OP. Breaks the game. I run her with Silver Wolf, Pela (with Resolution Shines As Pearls of Sweat) and Fu Xuan (with Trend of the universal market, which gets a surprising number of stacks for Acheron) and she Ult's almost every rotation, eviscerating most content.

I'm a bit worried they are either going to have to nerf her somehow (e.g. characters immune to debuffs, or new mechanics) or scope creep new characters which devalues every other DPS currently on our roster.

Awesome, now I can more quickly get the useless relics I don't need thanks to the annoying randomness of relic farming. My least favorite part of the game trying to an energy Regen rope or speed boots and don't even get me started on trying to also get optimal sub stats if I manage to get the aforementioned gear.

I've kind of fallen off recently with Star Rail. I still want to return eventually but the grind finally got to me on it. Maybe when this constant barrage of RPGs I want to play ends I'll get back into it.

@themightyant Heavily disagree about Penacony's story telling, It's been fantastic for me, but that's the great thing about these games, each new zone brings in a fresh story that will -hopefully- resonate better with people who didn't enjoy the previous one.

@Korgon I fell off just after the big boss of the Xianzhou (think that's how its spelled) arc due to burn out but came back last month when I realised I didn't have enough time for the bigger games I wanted to get to and jumped back on HSR... aaaand hooked again, cleaned up all the main quests and now I'm slowly catching up on all the blue quests and maxing out my team (and saving warps for when they have a new Tank/Preservation to pull for)

I feel like we barely just got to penacony and we're already almost leaving it. By far the best planet and I'll be sad to see the music, atmosphere, setting, etc go

Especially if it's true we're going back to shipping containers planet. That's depressing

Penacony is absolutely one of the best written story in any RPG I've ever played.

Pair that with one of the best music arrangements in Star Rail history with one of the best boss battle to nicely tie this chapter in one satisfying journey,

@ATaco - Why not craft a ER rope and some speed boots? The sub stats are still RNG bound but at least you can guarantee the main stat you want.

Yeah I've started to realize that speed boots in particular tend to be the hardest ones to pull for naturally so I've started saving my premium crafting materials to try to get those and ropes. Too bad that they can be a pretty scarce resource.
