  2. I used ham, tomatoes, and spring onions for a great quick & easy Quiche for our Sunday night 'Tea' This recipe lends itself to many options and I think that is a big plus. Thanks for a "keeper' for me. :)

  3. This was my sons' first introduction to quiche. I am happy to report that they both went back for seconds! This was great. I did make a few changes. Though they were very little ones. I omitted the onions and used ham instead of bacon. And I only used the one cup of cheese. I also added in another egg. I did that because my pan is bigger than the one called for. I had to use a 7 1/2" x 10" as I don't own a quiche pan. It worked perfectly. Well, except that my fiance didn't grease the pan very well and so it all stuck to the bottom. That is his fault, not the recipes! I will be making this again and again. Thanks so much.

  4. Very easy and tasty. This past week on Tuesday I threw everything together the morning before a work meeting potluck and let it cook while I got ready. No fuss nor muss. Followed recipe exactly. I had no left overs after the meeting. Look forward to having this again. Thanks for posting AussieGal Tracey

  5. Fantastic! Much better/lighter than a Bisquick-based recipe. Did use 2 whole eggs and 3 egg whites, (lunchmeat) ham instead of bacon, 2% milk, and only 1/2 cup cheese (misread the recipe, it seems). Baked at 375 for 30 minutes. Yummy!

FAQs

Is milk better than heavy cream in quiche? ›

Why isn't my quiche creamy? ›

How to get the bottom of quiche crispy? ›

Some people like to paint the surface of the pastry base with lightly beaten egg white after the beans have been removed and before returning the dish to the oven as the egg white cooks onto the surface of the pastry and can act as a slight sealant to help to keep the pastry crisp.

What temperature should quiche be cooked at? ›

What does Lorraine mean in quiche? ›

Why is the egg filling of my quiche runny? ›

Can you put too many eggs in a quiche? ›

Why is Flavour bland in quiche? ›

We've all had a slightly bland quiche before, and there's nothing worse. To avoid this classic trap, take a little of your egg mixture and fry it in a pan until cooked through. Is milk or heavy cream better for eggs? ›

Milk can dilute the flavor of scrambled eggs, but adding crème fraîche or heavy whipping cream can bring out the depth of flavor you're trying to achieve. Additionally, milk is known for turning scrambled eggs into chewy chunks, while cream does a better job of holding everything together nicely.

Is heavy cream better then milk? ›
