Pedestrian Accident Alert

Burke County, NC (May 29, 2024) – A pedestrian died after being struck by two vehicles on Wednesday, May 29. Around 1:50 a.m., a 2022 tractor-trailer hit Trenton Lester Kiser on I-40 West near Old NC 10 (Exit 118). Kiser, 30, was wearing dark clothing, and the area was unlit. A 2017 Toyota Camry then hit Kiser again after the initial collision. He died at the scene from his injuries. Authorities are investigating the circ*mstances of the crash and are expected to provide updates as more information becomes available.
