I got the top five 2017 co*cktail recipes from a Google search. Am I surprised by any of these delicious co*cktail recipes? Not really, but #3 is a seasonal co*cktail so that was a bit of a surprise. Each of these co*cktails is delicious and some are even classics.

I usually write my top 5 recipes for the prior year around April, so I’m a little late this year!

I love knowing what the top co*cktail recipes are for any given year! If you want to take a gander at the list for 2016, click here.

Whiskey Sour

I’m so glad that this co*cktail is on the list. It’s such a classic and I’m glad it’s getting the attention it deserves. My mother loved the whiskey sour and when I previously wrote about this co*cktail, I named it the wicked good whiskey sour.

Why did I name it wicked good?

Because I’m from Massachusetts and when we like something, we say it is wicked good!

Sangria

I love sangria. It’s fruity, is a beautiful deep color and is delicious! It’s one of those co*cktails that goes with sitting by the pool as you sip it. The link above is a recipe for a single glass of red wine sangria.

The photo below is my white wine sangria recipe! Which kind of sangria do you prefer?

The Mojito

The mojito is a real interesting co*cktail. It is refreshing and tasty and although it looks fancy and time consuming to make, it is super easy!

I have blogged about a few different versions of the mojito. The one above which is the classic mojito, and the one below which is the ruby red grapefruit mojito.

Both of these mojitos are delicious.

The classic mojito is made from rum and lime juice and has a classic, refreshingly clean taste.

The ruby red version has three variations. There is grapefruit vodka instead of rum, grapefruit juice instead of the lime juice and ginger infused simple syrup instead of the plain simple syrup. So, it has a nice balance of sweet and sour but with a little spice to it, which makes it a very refreshing co*cktail.

Drumroll please . . . . . . . .

Cadillac Margarita

Okay, I lied. Number one on the list of 2107 top five co*cktail recipes is actually the regular margarita, but I chose to commemorate it with my most popular margarita recipe: the Cadillac margarita.

I’m so happy that the margarita is number one this year, especially since it didn’t even make it in the top five list from last year.

The margarita is such a delightful and popular co*cktail.

People always want me to make this Cadillac margarita for them because of how delicious it is. I use premium liquor and it tastes simply amazing. Not only is it my most popular post but it’s my favorite margarita, hands down.

The recipe below is for the regular margarita. I still call for premium ingredients, but I leave out the Grand Marnier, which is what makes the above margarita a Cadillac margarita.

Here’s to 2017!Cheers!
